Rainbow May Herbalist Bio

​Hi Everyone! I am Rainbow May. I live eat and breathe plants!! That is why I have dedicated over 35 years to studying teaching and practising Herbal Medicine. My Herbal Path began early in life as I had a complete enchantment with nature and plants as long as I can remember ( my Dad was a farmer..) I met Rosemary Gladstar when I was 20 years old and ended  soon after at the California School of Herbal Studies. I completed at first a 2 month program (1980) and later returned for a 6 month program (1985).
In 1987 I began to travel around the planet and learned from wise teachers in Asia, India, Mexico and Central America. I also attended many workshops, gatherings, and trainings and was initiated as a Green Witch by Susun Weed in 1998. Other memorable teachers include, Lesley Tierra, Sun Bear, Red Thunder Cloud, Cascade Anderson, Christopher Hobbs, and many wise women and men around campfires as I travelled, camped and backpacked around from BC to California for decades.
  After teaching in community centres and healing gatherings for many years, I eventually started leading Women Herbs and Spirit Retreats and Herbal Apprenticeship Programs at my home on Lasqueti Island for 10 years (1990-2000) and continued on when I moved back to Salt Spring. ( 2000-2010).
   I took a break from teaching to work on my art, my private practice and to generally have some introspective crone time.
​  Now I am emerging again with new enthusiasm and vision to help birth the new earth and assist humanity in creating wellness for ourselves, our families, communities and the entire world.
